The String Beans were formed in 2014 by guitarists Jake Stentiford and Chris Twigg. The plan was to play a mixture of old gypsy jazz standards and modern day rock/pop classics with a gypsy twist.
Having quickly made an impact on the Manchester acoustic scene with their first live shows at the end of the year, the duo has since expanded into a variety of line ups that can now offer vocals, upright bass, violin and drums. Known for their frantic and heavily improvised live shows mixed with intricately arranged medleys, you can expect to see The String Beans busking in a town near you soon!
Alongside their touring and festival exploits The String Beans are also available to hire as a more traditional background music act for restaurants, bars, weddings and other events. The String Beans Party Band is also available as evening entertainment for wedding and corporate parties as something a bit different to the usual function band.
